It makes me so happy to read this article and know that someone is as fired up as me about the budget cuts and lack of funding for art programs. For the past 3 years I have been building a company that works to preserve art programs. I work with Americans for the Arts and just recently we received a grant to continue working on our project. It's called the Arton Collection Project. We collect and screen print children's art, donate a percentage of the proceeds to AFTA, and set up scholarships for participating little artists. If Eric's article interests you, please check out the site: www.artoncollection.org to find out how you can support and get involved. it's absolutely true, if "we don't do it for our children, who is going to?"
Thanks Eric!
